Kindergarten Registration Process

Registration for the 2017-18
Kindergarten Class is in process!

(In Mansfield, a child must be 5 years old on or before 9/1/17 to register
for Kindergarten. DOB on or before 9/1/12.)

Download, complete and return ASAP the Kindergarten Pre-Registration Form.

The completed form can be:
*Dropped off at the Robinson School office.
*Faxed to 508-261-7326.
*Scanned and emailed to
*Mailed to: Robinson Elementary School, Attn: Kindergarten Registration, 245 East Street, Mansfield MA 02048.

Once we have received your pre-registration form, a packet of information with further steps and a Registration appointment will be mailed to your home. Registration appointments will be held Tuesday April 25th - Thursday April 27th. Evening appointments available on Wed 4/26 by request only, call 508-261-7510.



Please gather the necessary documents listed below for your Registration Appointment. 

1. Student's ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE with the raised seal and
DOB on or before 9/1/12

 (We will make a copy and give it right back to you)

2.  PROOF OF RESIDENCE  You must have at least ONE document from EACH
of the following three sections below (a, b and c) as proof of residency. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you are a Homeowner
- Deed, recent mortgage payment, fully signed and executed Purchase and Sale agreement, or property tax bill.  
If you are Renting - A fully signed and executed lease/rental agreement, a residency, occupancy affidavit or a notarized letter listing students with the homeowner's drivers license.

Recent (within 30days) copy of one of the following - fuel bill, electric bill, water bill or cable bill. In addition, a letter from Mansfield Electric with account information can be provided.
(must include name of parent/guardian and valid street address of resident).

 Valid driver's license, valid photo ID or valid passport or other Government issued Photo ID.

3. Download and complete these FORMS.
(Please bring them with you to your registration appointment in April.) 

4.  A recent PHOTO of your child.

5 His/Her most recent PHYSICAL FORM with immunizations and 
certification of vision screening including stereopsis.

Attend your child's Registration Appointment scheduled between 4/25-4/27.
This appointment time is in your packet that was mailed to your home.

if you need to reschedule or would like an evening appointment on 4/26.

At this appointment we will go over all your paperwork and discuss transportation, Full day Kindergarten/Half Day Kindergarten and answer any other questions you may have. Please allow 30-40 minutes for this appointment and bring all the documents and forms listed above with you.

You DO NOT need to attend registration as your child's file will be transferred to Robinson this summer, however you should of received a form regarding your child's transportation and scheduling his/her Academic Screening appointment. This information is due by 4/14 to the Roland Green office. Thank you!

At your registration appointment we will discuss your child's transportation to and from Kindergarten. Students outside of 2 miles from Robinson are offered transportation. Those within 2 miles of the school are offered transportation on a pay-n-ride basis. Please view or download the information below to see whether your street is within 2 miles of Robinson, and also to read ahead regarding deadline dates for pay-n-ride.

2017-18 Kindergarten Program

We hope to offer Full Day Kindergarten to all students next year instead of Half Day Kindergarten.
We will confirm that plan once the town's budget process is complete.

 2016-17 Full Day and Half Day Kindergarten

2016-17 Full Day Kindergarten: The Mansfield Public Schools offers a voluntary, tuition-based full-day Kindergarten program. There is an annual tuition rate of $3,100 for participation in the full-day program. This fee can be adjusted based on income. Discounted tuition is also available for families with siblings attending full-day Kindergarten in the same year, is waived for foster parents serving as temporary guardians and for grandparents serving as a child(s) legal guardians.

 2016-17 Half Day Kindergarten: The Mansfield Public Schools offers a half day Kindergarten program. There is no fee for half-day Kindergarten. There are two sessions: AM (9-1130am) and PM (12:40pm-3:10pm). Session enrollment is based on your HOME address and DOES NOT change mid-year.
